New Indie Rock from Russia | Mescheryakova
Indie singer-songwriter Anastasia Mescheryakova started the indie-pop-rock band Mescheryakova in 2015. Based in Vladivostok, Russia, the band has recently released a new video for their single Кроме Меня. The energy-filled guitars, drums and synth make for a heart-racing track with a dance-vibe and passionate vocals about...something I don't understand 😜. But one needn't understand a word to feel something throughout. The video packages this song in a rose-filled room, bathed in reds, as the singer emotes apparent longing and growing rage. The chorus builds as the singer appears to feel the weight of the small room perhaps capturing the feeling in her mind. I love the quick-tempo and heartfelt emotion pouring out through the song that ends with a quick rap over a slick drum beat that drops the listener off after a roller-coaster ride
